Scripps Green is a 173-bed hospital that has served the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities with distinction since 1977. Conveniently located off I-5 near the Genesee Avenue exit, our healthcare professionals care for people from a number of communities including Bird Rock, La Jolla Shores, Mount Soledad, University City and beyond. Scripps Green offers a wide range of clinical and surgical services, including organ transplantation, oncology care, cardiothoracic and orthopedic surgery, interventional cardiology and blood and bone marrow transplantation.
Join Scripps Green Hospital Surgery Team which includes transplant and cardiac robotics and operates in 12 OR suites and sees 900 cases a month. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of acute OR experience in ortho- pedics and spine and be proficient in anterior and posterior fusions and deformities. This is a busy and fast-paced environment which requires teamwork and cooperation to provide the highest level of patient care. The Lead RN will be responsible for the management and coordination of patient care within the Care Unit on a per shift basis. This is accomplished through implementation and integration of the nursing process, through assignment and supervision of appropriate staff and in coordination and collaboration with physicians. The Lead RN functions as the Care Unit expert and provides functional direction to members of the Patient Care team
This is a full time 8 hour day shift with call.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- 4 years of recent acute surgery experience
- California Registered Nurse License
- Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification
- Proficiency in ortho and spine anterior and posterior fusions and deformities
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- 5 Years experience in Ortho and Spine
